Blogging hobby overhaul, of some sort.
I’m going to stop writing in this diary here. I’m not sure yet whether this is a permanent thing or not. I will still type down my thoughts on my experiences in health and fitness, but I will do that in another diary I have which is Simple and Gayforward (NSFW, I think)
When I first started this blogging thing only last year in May, I decided my interests were too varied to be put in one place. A lot of interests fascinate me (thanks also to the internet), and a lot of hobbies over the years come and go. It’s partly how I enjoy life. If I take in interest in something I go for it, occasionally to the extent of taking short courses in evening classes to learn more about it.
Last year in May, I decided I would have the following three blogs for me to neatly divide my thoughts on different interests:
- Simple and Gayforward, for stuff related to gay and other issues.
- The Purple Chunky Monkey, for stuff related to my love for animals and the environment.
- and this one, The Chunky Purple Turtle, for stuff related to exercise and fitness.
I knew it was a tall order for me to maintain one blog, let alone three, but I wanted to try. It just seems messy to put all the topics in one place. But now that’s what I’d like to try for a change.
I think, I hope, it will be okay and not too messy, since I find that I write only rarely for the health and fitness topics of this blog anyway. And that’s the main reason for this move, of course. I struggle to find the time. I think that’s mainly due to the fact that I currently spend a big chunk of my spare time reading the blogs of others, instead of writing in my own I love to read, and I love reading blogs (and looking at all the nice photos in those that have them.)
On that subject, I’m taking the blogs I’m following here over to Simple and Gayforward, meaning I’m going to unfollow them here, and follow them from there, if I haven’t done so already. Just like my posts, I want to put all the blogs I’m following in one place so that it’s easier for me.
I’m not deleting this blog, in case I change my mind again months or whenever from now, who knows and decide to come back to it.
